NEWS:
The Raygun Rover will be on display at Yuri's Night Bay Area on April 10th, 2010
The Raygun Rover S.C.O.U.T. (Science Crew Operations Utility Testbed) is the terrestrial exploration and transportation vehicle for the life-forms travelling aboard the Raygun Gothic Rocketship.
Built from the ground up using parts and systems acquired from the lowest bidder (just like NASA!) the Rover is a unique "Human-Hybrid Art Car" (a 125cc motorcycle engine for forward propulsion and human muscle for reverse). It incorporates vintage 8-track tape audio components, CB-radio, Atari 2600 and state-of-the-art Arduino microcontrollers for the Command and Control of its immediate fun-space.
Auxilary and scientific instruments include a solar-powered 12V charging station, auxiliary 1000Watt genset, integrated 120V-12V inverter, cool blinky lights, and plenty of room for groceries or golf clubs.
