The primary physical manifestation of the White Dragon will be built on the body of a 1960 International Harvester Fire Truck.

However the White Dragon Spirit may manifest and grace the presence of a parade, gathering or intersection through the use of costume, performance, and other props. An indoor or parade manifestation will be formed in the shape of a Dragon Train like the type seen in Chinese New Year Celebrations, with a group of performers operating the head, arms, wings and body. In addition, a manifestation of the White Dragon will be a performance art troupe - all dressed in white - that may appear on stage, in the streets, or at any site-specific location.


The ultimate message of the White Dragon project is one of peace. The appearances and manifestations will be of joyous celebration and inclusion of all peoples. It is also a message of power through action.

The White Dragon is built of Fierce Grace. The project begins and ends in Grace, and it is filled with the Fierceness that is demanded in our times. This is the concept that will guide our interactions with each other. It will guide our decisions about what to do and how to do it. It will guide or decisions about when and for how long.
It is the artistic inspiration to guide the structure, and materials, and it is also about the process.

The White Dragon Project is finished before it started, and the White Dragon will have no end. There is nothing to do, nothing that we HAVE to do, and yet there is all possibilities. The creation of the concept is the creation of a process, a way of being.

The White Dragon is about giving us freedom of expression, about choices. It is about being beauty in public spaces, reminding us that we have the capacity to shape our world. It is about collaboration and community. It is about the transformation of consciousness, our own and each other as we manifest spirit into reality, as we let go of that which has prevented us from taking action in our lives, and say yes to our divine beautiful selves.


The main elemental relation of the dragon will be water. Like the fluidity and grace of water as it finds the path of least resitance, so too the White Dragon will fly into our hearts with ease and care and inspire us to be our most generous and beautiful selves.

In September 2003 I donated the firetruck to Michael Sturtz & the Crucible in Oakland. They have been lovingly rebuilding, transforming and caring for her ever since!
